Nirvana foi uma banda de Grunge fundada no ano de 1987 em Aberdeen, Washington. A sua música foi inspirada no Punk Rock, no Rock Alternativo, no Hard Rock e foi chamada Grunge pela imprensa e meios de comunicação da época. O grupo se desfez em 1994 com a morte de seu líder e vocalista, Kurt Cobain. Muitos críticos e historiadores aclamam a banda como sendo a mais representativa da década de 90.
